A NATURAL HAIR MEETUP, A NATURAL HAIR FEATURE AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

By Hadassah Agbaps - May 28, 2013

Hi guys! What's been on?
Well, for starters, I'll like to announce (though you probably all got the memo) that there's a NATURALHAIR MEETUP IN ABUJA, NIGERIA ON 1st of JUNE!!!!

So,if you want to purchase  those hard to get natural hair products and skincare products, that's the place to be right now, boo!!!
The flyer is right at the end of this post. For more info, please head straight to naturalnigerian.com or deepbrownkinks.blogspot.com!
Unfortunately, due to conflicting schedule, I won't be able to make it. I'm dying to meet with all the awesome naturalistas whose blogs I stalk! I'm still watching out for an opening!!!!

And speaking of which, I'm excited to let you all know that naturalnigerian.com graciously featured NappilyNigerianGirl.
So if you want the whole details of Hadassah and that her hair, check out naturalnigerian.com and see how long my gut spill was!
Like 5 pages long people... I still cringe! Lol!
But considering I'm a fan of the mysterious NaturalNigerian Igbo sister, I'll pardon myself!

Anyway, what have you been doing with your hair this week?
I'll go first.
This week I got my hair in a twist!
I did some lazy outstyles such as buns, mohawks and such and since I fingerdetangle exclusively now, I decided one weekend I had to thoroughly get rid of any shed hair still hanging about.
I did this because I noticed while styling that some hair was falling out with white root buds attached.

I was a bit alarmed because this happened everytime I styled. So I thought to myself,
i. I'm either having minor hair loss or
ii. I'm did not totally get rid of shed hair during my last wash.
I think I prefer option (ii) lol!
*no... it's not funny *.

Well, I rarely comb my hair nowadays since it's usually a bit stretched, in a bun or in clumped defined curly hairstyles so I guess it's really because of that I have old shed hairs hanging around.
So, I made a quick spray detangling solution with half part water to half part conditioner and 2-3 drops of rosemary essential oil (just in case).
I used VO5 Strawberry and cream conditioner.
 Smells like icecream.
It definitely put me in the mood for the long hours I knew it would take to thoroughly finger detangle my hair strand by strand.
Then I said to myself (in my head not out loud o!),
" Why not even put in mini twists at the same time as detangling. It will give me more value for my money....since time is equal to money "
.....and that's exactly what I did!

So right now my hair is in thoroughly detangled mini twists and guess what?!

The shedding wasn't so bad but I'm still going to watch out for any shedding after this just to make sure it's not the original hair loss thing (option i) I was afraid of.

Then I'll wonder why.... because I eat better, drink better and take my vitamins.... at least once in two days(the vitamins not the food!) Lol!
Guess I have to work on not forgetting to take it everyday.

So, I think that's it for now....oh... if you want updated pics of my hair or regimen or whatever , I'm on Instagram @nappilynigeriangirl...

Till I spill again,
Live Beautifully. Naturally.
Hadassah.

Update: It's two week after I put in my twists and I've taken it out for an uberdefined twistout and......yayyyy.....no more shedding!!!! So, it was old shed hair afterall! Phew! *wipes sweat"
